Hämähäkkimillefioriohje ja muut massailut

Kaveri oli eilen massailemassa minun luona. Tuntuu siltä, että yllättävän vähän sai taas muutamassa tunnissa aikaseksi. Tässä kuitenkin eiliset tuotokset:

Yesterday my friend was polymer claying with me. It feels like we did only a little even we spend few hours. Kerroin, miten tehdään hämähäkkimillefioria ja teimme hämähäkkihelmiä. Ruskeat ovat minun tekemiäni ja mustavalkoiset kaverini. Kuvasin samalla hämähäkkimillefiorin ohjeen.

I made hearts and the mica sift got finally baked. My friend tried millefiori, stampers and powders. I showed how to do spider millefiori cane and we made beads. Browns are mine and black and white beads are my friend's.

Näin teet hämähäkkikuvioista millefioria: (Kuvissa vihreä on kuvioväri eli hämähäkin väri ja vaalea ruskea pohjaväri.)

Tee kuvioväristä tasainen suorakaiteen muotoinen levy. Tästä tehdään jalat.

This is how to make spider millefiori cane: (At the photos green is the spider colour and light brown is background colour.)
Make a sheet using spider colour. This will be the spider's legs.

Tee pohjaväristä levy ja laita se kuviovärin toiselle puolelle (esim. kuvan tavalla leikkaamalla ylimääräiset pois).

Make a sheet of using background colour (cut the extra).

Tee toisellekin puolelle levy pohjaväristä (nyt tämä näyttää kerrosvoileivältä sivusta katsottuna).

Make a sheet using background also to the other side of the spider coloured sheet. Now it looks like a sandwich.

Leikkaa levy kahdeksaan samankokoiseen palaan. Nämä ovat hämähäkin jalat.

Cut the sheet to eight equal pieces. These are the legs.

Tee hämähäkille vartalo ja pää. Vartalo on isompi pötkö ja pää on pienempi pötkö. Tee näistä yhtä pitkät kuin jalkapalojen pitkistä sivuista. Pää on päällystetty melkein kokonaan pohjavärillä ja se kiinnitetään vartaloon päällystämättömästä kohdasta. Vartalosta on tehty suippeneva ja se on päällystetty myös osittain pohjavärillä.

Make a bigger cane and a smaller cane using spider colour. Wrap the smaller cane to the background colour but leave a small gap and press the canes together as in the photo. Sharpen the end of the body (the bigger cane) and wrap it to background colour.

Kiinnitä jalat vartaloon pitkästä leikkaussivustaan. Aloita ensin ylimmistä jaloista. Paina kuviovärit toisiaan vasten ja taivuta jalat pään yli.

Add the legs carefully starting near the head. Bend the legs over the head.
Lisää loputkin jalat. Jalkojen ja vartalon väliin joutuu todennäköisesti lisäämään massaa. Tee pohjaväristä pötkö, leikkaa se melkein kokonaan halki ja laita se kiinni vartalon päähän. Taivuta jalat sen ympärille.

Add the rest of the legs. You probably have to add more clay at the end of the body. Make a small cane using background colour and cut it nearly through. Add it at the end of body. Add the legs and bend them over the end of the body.
Lisää pohjaväriä jalkojen väliin. Päällystä koko pötkö levyllä pohjaväriä.

Add some background colour between the legs. Wrap the whole cane to the background colour.

Purista ilmakuplat pois ja pyöritä varovasti ohuemmaksi, kunnes pötkö on sopivan paksuinen. Leikkaa ja katso mitä sait aikaan. :) Taustalla kuvassa pari valmista helmeä.

Squeeze the air out of the cane and roll carefully until it's thin enough. Cut and look what you got. :)
Näissä on vartalo ja pääkin tehty millefiorilla mosaiikkimaiseksi. Yhtä hyvin voi käyttää yksiväristä pötköä.

In this cane I have made the body and the head also using millefiori technique. Single colour works well too.
